England captain Natalie Sciver-Brunt has hit top spot in the Women’s T20 Player Index.
Sciver-Brunt’s move from fourth to first in the rankings means that England now top both indexes. Will Jacks sits at No.1 in the men’s equivalent.
Sciver-Brunt replaces Ellyse Perry, who moves down to No.5, at the top of the charts.
Perry’s compatriot Georgia Wareham has leapt into the top five, having previously been ranked at No.30. Also entering the top five is Ireland’s Orla Prendergast, up to No.3 from No.21. For both Wareham and Prendergast, their ascent represents move into career-best rankings.
The top five is completed by West Indies’ Hayley Matthews, who stays in second.
