Glenn Maxwell has returned to top spot in the latest Men’s T20 Player Index for the first time in more than four years.
The Australian, who last led the standings in December 2021, climbed from his previous standing of fourth to reclaim the lead.
Rashid Khan is back up to second in the rankings, while Wanindu Hasaranga is in third having spent almost 18 months at the top of the pile.
Will Jacks drops from second to fourth, while Axar Patel, Hardik Pandya and Jos Buttler stay at fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
The top 10 is completed by eighth-placed Nicholas Pooran, who has swapped places with Sikandar Raza. Marcus Stoinis remains in tenth.
The biggest climbers in the top 20 are both South African – Aiden Markram rose by seven places into twelfth and Marco Jansen jumped by eight, up from 26th to 18th.
As the highest run scorer in internationals so far this year (279 runs in 5 matches at a strike rate of 219.7), Abhishek Sharma is into the top 30 for the first time. He leapt from 89th to 29th.
Donovan Ferreira is the biggest climber in the top 100, up from 205th to 39th.
Others climbing up the ranks include, Dasun Shanaka (74th to 35th), Ryan Burl (120th to 53rd) and Khushdil Shah (up over 100 places to 71st).
The Index is the only platform that takes into account performances in all international and domestic T20 cricket, with more than 70 nationalities represented in the Top 1000.
